Hyphenated Identities: Multi-Ethnic Writers Reading and in Conversation, RAWIfest 2025

Drawing on immigration and diaspora scholarship, as well as original poems and pulled readings, this panel will examine the challenges, privileges, and poems of multicultural poets through poetry and reflection. There is medicine in our histories, and this panel seeks to find that medicine, redefine what multicultural means, acknowledge pain in the immigration and diasporic experience, and fight against horizontal oppression.

Join us at the Radius of Arab and South West Asian American Writer’s international Conference, RAWIFEST 2025, taking place this year at the University of Houston Honors College
